Have you ever noticed how memories can evoke both joy and sorrow as we navigate through grief? It’s a unique journey for each of us, as we’re all wired differently. For me, seeing pictures of my girl brings a sense of joy, and I’ve scattered many of them throughout my home. But I’ve also spoken with others who find it challenging to look at past photos. Instead of joy, these images stir up pain and amplify their loss. There’s no right or wrong way to grieve. The path that feels most comforting to you is the right one.

As time goes on, I often find myself wondering why I’m not ‘over it’ yet. But then, I remember that there’s no ‘getting over’ the loss of my daughter. It’s about learning to live with this new normal, a life without her physical presence. Thankfully, my Heavenly Father never tires of lifting me up and helping me dust myself off. He’s a constant reminder that he’s always there, and I find solace in holding tightly to the hem of his garment when I feel lost. While memories can evoke both joy and sorrow, let’s walk this journey together here: Navigating Our Memories.
