Hello friends! We are beginning another month – one that leads us into two major holidays. This will be my fifth year of not having Melanie with us, and although my heart isn’t as raw as it was that first year, there still remain moments of sorrow. I know all too well that when you’ve lost a loved one, just the thought of celebrating can bring us to our knees. Over the next few weeks, I hope to share words of encouragement as we navigate this difficult time of year together. Perhaps we can plan a virtual gathering to share our memories, or we can support each other by checking in more often. Starting with how to be thankful when your heart is hurting, I hope to offer specific ways to support each other during this time.
